Amirbehshad Shahrasbi

I am a Computing Innovation Post-doctoral Fellow at Harvard University supervised by Madhu Sudan. I received my Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University’s Computer Science Department in 2020 where I was very fortunate to be advised by Bernhard Haeupler. During the summer of 2019, I worked as a research intern at Microsoft DNA Data Storage group under the supervision of Sergey Yekhanin.

I am broadly interested in algorithmic and combinatorial aspects of theoretical computer science. I have been recently working on communication problems concerning synchronization errors.

Nov 23, 2020 I will give a remote talk at Bar-Ilan University on Coding for Synchronization Errors.
Sep 30, 2020 I graduated from CMU!
Sep 15, 2020 I’m fortunate to be among the recipients of CRA/CCC’s Computing Innovation Fellowship!
Jun 23, 2020 I’m presenting my paper at STOC 2020 online session.
